The Board of Directors of Kuwait Specialized Hospital received a delegation from UNRWA, headed by Dr. Sayed Shah Masoom, Policy and Planning Officer for the Health Department in the Middle East, at its headquarters in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis.
The hospital’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Suhaib Al-Hams, welcomed the visiting delegation and commended their role in supporting the hospital’s healthcare services amid the collapse of the healthcare system.
Al-Hamas briefed the visiting delegation on the services provided by the Kuwait Specialized Field Hospital to residents and displaced persons, noting that the hospital receives more than 3,500 patients daily.
The two sides discussed ways to cooperate in expanding health services to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, particularly those displaced in the Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis, which is experiencing significant overcrowding and population density.
The visiting delegation toured the Kuwaiti field hospital’s departments, praising the distinguished healthcare services, the administrative and computerized system, and the dedicated staff of doctors, nurses, and administrators.
At the conclusion of the visit, the visiting delegation agreed with the hospital administration to enhance coordination between them to provide appropriate healthcare services to citizens in light of the ongoing war of extermination that our people in the Gaza Strip have been subjected to for over a year.
