Kuwait Speciality Hospital continues to provide pediatric surgical services despite the difficult conditions caused by the ongoing war, which has resulted in the deterioration of a large portion of medical devices and equipment, increasing the challenges faced within the operating department.
Despite these obstacles, the hospital has successfully performed more than 1,200 pediatric surgical operations from October 7, 2023 until now. These surgeries covered a wide range of cases, most notably:
Hernia surgeries of various types, appendectomy, undescended testicle operations, removal of benign tumors, congenital anomaly surgeries, intestinal obstruction procedures, and pediatric urological surgeries.
The hospital affirms that all these operations were provided completely free of charge, as part of its continuous efforts to ease the burden on families and support the resilience of our people.
In this context, and in line with its humanitarian and professional responsibilities, the hospital continues to work at a high pace, performing approximately 30 free surgical operations daily across multiple specialties, despite the significant overload on waiting lists. This reflects the vital role the hospital plays under these harsh circumstances.
