Kuwait Specialty Field Hospital “Heal Palestine” hosted a specialized training course entitled “Guidelines for Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI)”, in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The training included clinical examination, diagnosis, and follow-up of congenital anomalies and respiratory and skin diseases, in addition to addressing common conditions such as anemia, acute and moderate malnutrition. It also focused on healthy child care, monitoring growth indicators, vaccinations, motor and cognitive development, as well as the early detection of chronic and serious illnesses. The importance of breastfeeding and its role in emergencies and humanitarian crises was also emphasized.
