Kuwait’s Specialized Field Hospital hosted a training course on Tuesday for teams supervising the second round of the polio vaccination campaign.
Dr. Suhaib Al-Hams, Director of the Kuwait Specialized Hospital, said that the hospital’s hosting of the training course is a continuation of the hospital’s efforts to enhance cooperation with health institutions and to train effective cadres who work to protect our society and strengthen its resilience in light of the ongoing Israeli war of extermination.
In turn, Dr. Mahdi Al-Qudra, UNRWA’s Hospitals Officer, thanked Kuwait Specialized Hospital for hosting the training course, which aims to enhance the capabilities of healthcare workers in polio vaccination and ensure the readiness of medical teams to implement large-scale vaccination campaigns. He praised the hospital’s efforts in providing the appropriate atmosphere for the course, including the appropriate venue and display screens.
The training course, which will extend over several days, is being supervised by UNRWA, UNICEF, and the Ministry of Health in Gaza in preparation for the second round of the polio campaign.
It is noteworthy that the hospital received thousands of children during the first round of the vaccination campaign, which lasted for four consecutive days, and is preparing for the second round of the vaccination campaign in the coming days.
