Kuwait Specialized Hospital announced the commencement of operations at its new field hospital, “Shifa Palestine,” which was established in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis Governorate, in the southern Gaza Strip, amid the ongoing war of extermination in the Strip.
The field hospital was established following the complete destruction of the main hospital in Rafah Governorate as a result of Israeli bombing, rendering it unusable and depriving thousands of patients of access to healthcare.
The new hospital was built on an area of five dunams and was fully equipped by Palestinian hands. Construction and equipment work took more than a month.
Shifa Palestine Hospital aims to provide comprehensive emergency medical services to thousands of displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area, which has become a refuge for refugees from various parts of the Gaza Strip. The hospital includes main departments operating around the clock, including emergency, ambulance, obstetrics and gynecology, operating rooms, and outpatient clinics, making it a vital center to relieve pressure on other health facilities in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Kuwait Specialized Hospital administration emphasized that this project embodies the resilience of medical staff and demonstrates the continued dedication of our people despite the aggression and tragic circumstances, ensuring the minimum level of treatment and healthcare for our people.
