Receiving a delegation from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)

Kuwait Specialized Hospital received a delegation from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), including Shruti Tripathi, the Fund’s Humanitarian Coordinator in Palestine, Dr. Maram Badwan, and Duaa Hijazi from the UNFPA team. The visit aimed to enhance cooperation in the field of healthcare and implement important health programs in the Gaza Strip.
The visit included an inspection tour of the hospital’s various departments, where the delegation was briefed on the medical services the hospital provides to the Palestinian community. The delegation also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the hospital and the Fund in the areas of reproductive health and family planning, in addition to exploring ways to provide health support to poor families and the most vulnerable groups in the Gaza Strip.
In this context, Dr. Suhaib Al-Hams, Chairman of the Hospital’s Board of Directors, emphasized the importance of continued cooperation with international humanitarian organizations to provide the best healthcare services to citizens, commending the joint efforts to improve healthcare amid the difficult circumstances facing the sector.
For its part, the UNFPA delegation expressed its appreciation for the efforts of the Kuwait Specialized Hospital, stressing the importance of strengthening effective partnerships to ensure the provision of comprehensive healthcare to the Palestinian community.
