The Kuwait Specialized Field Hospital’s Emergency Department continues to provide 24-hour medical services to patients and the injured, as part of the hospital’s efforts to respond to growing healthcare needs amid the ongoing aggression and humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip.
The department is one of the most vital, receiving dozens of emergency cases of wounded and sick people daily as a result of the ongoing shelling of the tents of displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area in the southern Gaza Strip.
The department is distinguished by its rapid response, provision of first aid services, immediate medical assessments, and urgent medical interventions, which contribute to saving lives and reducing complications.
The department also operates according to updated medical protocols and high-quality emergency standards to ensure the best possible service to displaced persons and residents in the Al-Mawasi area, which is home to hundreds of thousands of people displaced from various areas in the Gaza Strip.
The continued operation of the reception and emergency department despite significant challenges and a severe shortage of medical supplies and consumables, including medical gauze, bandages, and even basic saline solutions, reflects the determination of Palestinian medical staff to fulfill their humanitarian and professional duties responsibly.
