🔴 The Kuwait Speciality Field Hospital “Heal Palestine” deeply regrets to announce its forced suspension of all scheduled surgical operations, limiting its work solely to life-saving procedures. This decision comes due to the severe and ongoing shortage of medicines and medical consumables, the deterioration of medical devices and equipment over the past two years, and the critical deficit in essential medical supplies, including anesthesia drugs, medical solutions, sterilization materials, and vital surgical instruments.
🔴 This coercive measure comes amid the ongoing genocidal war on the Gaza Strip and the persistent blockade and closure of border crossings for several months, which has prevented any medical supplies, equipment, or medicines from entering the sector. In this context, we emphasize that since the resumption of aggression in March 2025, the hospital has not received sufficient medical aid to meet the growing needs, despite repeated appeals.
🔴 The repercussions of this grave decision are clear: thousands of patients and wounded individuals will be deprived of the specialized medical services the hospital has been providing throughout the war, further worsening the health and humanitarian crisis in southern Gaza and threatening a complete collapse of the healthcare system, particularly amid the overcrowding of displaced persons and the rising number of complex injuries.
🔴 Out of our humanitarian and ethical responsibility, we issue an urgent appeal to all relevant authorities and international organizations, calling for immediate intervention to open humanitarian corridors, secure the delivery of essential medicines and medical supplies, and assist in covering the hospital’s operational costs. We hold the concerned authorities and international organizations fully accountable for taking immediate action to ensure the hospital’s continued operation and prevent its closure.
