The Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at the Kuwait Specialized Field Hospital is a key pillar in providing safe maternity services and emergency obstetric care. It operates around the clock to ensure a healthy and safe environment for childbirth, despite the humanitarian and health challenges facing the Gaza Strip.

The department includes a specialized team of midwives and obstetricians, qualified to handle various natural and emergency births, with a focus on the safety of the mother and child throughout all stages of childbirth.

It also features comprehensive medical equipment that enables staff to perform deliveries efficiently, including natural births and emergency caesarean sections, in coordination with the operating department.

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Department also provides prenatal and postnatal care, along with psychological and health support for mothers, and awareness guidance to ensure ongoing health monitoring for mothers and newborns.

All births have been free of charge since the beginning of the war, as part of efforts to alleviate the suffering of women amid the difficult circumstances facing the Gaza Strip.
