This department is a cornerstone in providing safe maternal care and emergency obstetric services, operating 24/7 to ensure a safe delivery environment despite the humanitarian and health challenges in Gaza.

It includes a specialized team of doctors and midwives capable of handling with normal and emergency deliveries, prioritizing the safety of both mother and child at all stages of delivery.

The department is equipped with comprehensive medical tools enabling staff to perform deliveries efficiently, including natural and emergency cesarean section deliveries in coordination with the surgical operations department.

It provides pre- and post-natal care, psychological and health support for mothers, and guidance for continuous health monitoring, especially during breastfeeding. The department has an all-female medical team and provides appropriate attire to preserve privacy.

All deliveries have been provided free of charge since the beginning of the war to alleviate the suffering of women under difficult circumstances.
