Medical Delegations – Kuwait Hospital Headquarters, Rafah

Kuwait Specialty Hospital in Rafah has received numerous medical delegations from several countries, including Kuwait, Malaysia, France, and Qatar, in addition to delegations from UNRWA, the Ministry of Health, and several local and international organizations, over more than 200 days of ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.

These delegations, in coordination with the hospital’s medical teams, contributed to supporting health relief efforts, performing dozens of delicate surgical operations in the operating theater to treat patients and the injured, under extremely difficult humanitarian and medical conditions and severe shortages of resources.

These ongoing efforts reflect the scale of international and humanitarian cooperation in alleviating the suffering of the Gaza population and strengthening the resilience of the health system despite the escalating humanitarian crisis.

Amid the recent escalation, and with the start of the ground offensive on Rafah city, residents were forcibly displaced to the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis. Meanwhile, the main branch of Kuwait Specialized Hospital was completely destroyed, exacerbating the suffering of the injured and patients and posing an additional challenge to the medical teams working in the field.
