In response to the deteriorating health situation in southern Gaza and due to the sharp increase in the number of injured, patients, and visitors, a field hospital was established adjacent to Kuwait Specialized Hospital in Rafah, funded by charitable organizations from Kuwait, the Arab world, and international donors.

The new hospital is located 150 meters from the main branch of Kuwait Specialized Hospital and covers an area of approximately 1,300 square meters. It aims to increase capacity and expand the range of medical services provided, particularly amid the massive overcrowding of patients and the spread of diseases and epidemics.

The field hospital includes several inpatient and emergency departments, ambulance stations, and supporting services, enhancing the readiness of medical teams and enabling them to handle emergency cases more effectively.

The establishment of the field hospital coincided with the opening of new departments within Kuwait Specialized Hospital, such as operating rooms and the maternity ward, aiming to enable medical teams to perform surgical operations and manage critical and emergency cases directly.

This medical achievement represents an extension of the vital role played by Kuwait Specialized Hospital in providing healthcare, despite the conditions of war, siege, and the destruction of health infrastructure in the region.
