About the Hospital
Kuwait Specialty Hospital is a charitable hospital established in 2007 in Rafah Governorate, southern Gaza Strip – Palestine, with the aim of meeting the increasing health needs of the population. The hospital provides comprehensive medical care for patients and the wounded, and has played a prominent role in emergency response during the years of ongoing blockade and aggression since its establishment. It has significantly contributed to relieving the burden on the governmental health system, which has been exhausted by the occupation, and it remains one of the main pillars of the health system in Gaza Strip.
The hospital was completely destroyed during the Israeli invasion of Rafah Governorate in May 2024, which led to its shutdown. Despite the difficult circumstances, we did not abandon our humanitarian duty, as we took the initiative to establish a field hospital in the Al-Mawasi area in Khan Younis Governorate in the southern Gaza Strip. It is the largest field hospital in Gaza, built through purely national efforts and contributions from the benevolent people of our nation, to continue fulfilling our medical and humanitarian mission in serving our steadfast people. The hospital continues to provide distinguished and specialized services to our people in the Strip, thanks to its high efficiency and quality of healthcare.
