Medical Delegations – Kuwait Hospital Headquarters, Rafah
13 July، 2025

The Kuwait Specialized Hospital in Rafah Governorate has received numerous medical delegations from several countries, including Kuwait, Malaysia, France, and Qatar, as well as delegations from UNRWA, the Ministry of Health, and a number of local and international organizations, during the more than 200 days of the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip.

These delegations, in coordination with the hospital’s medical staff, contributed to relief efforts. Dozens of delicate surgical operations were performed in the operating room to treat patients and the injured, amid extremely difficult humanitarian and medical conditions and a severe shortage of resources.

These ongoing efforts reflect the extent of humanitarian and international cooperation in alleviating the suffering of the Gaza Strip’s population and strengthening the resilience of the health system despite the worsening humanitarian disaster.

In light of the recent escalation, and with the launch of the ground operation in Rafah, residents were forcibly displaced to the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis. The Kuwait Specialized Hospital was also completely destroyed, exacerbating the suffering of the wounded and sick and posing an additional challenge to medical personnel working on the ground.
